Our “Selah Room”, upstairs, is a special space for soaking in the presence of our Lord. We have had wonderful times of prayer and joyful times where the Lord has touched us!
Both rooms are generally available during the day and by appointment.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a Christian congregation seeking to worship our Lord Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth. We are affiliated with the National Association of Evangelicals and the EARCCC.
HISTORY:
The Town of Cambridge was chartered in 1781. Our church was the first congregation gathered in Cambridge, organized in 1792 as the First Congregational Church, being the second congregation gathered in the region north of the Winooski River. We became the Cambridge Community Church in 1935 and the Cambridge United Church in 1960. We were formerly affiliated with the United Church of Christ and its predecessors until 1997. At that time we chose to become an independent congregation in order to uphold the primacy of the Scriptures as the rule of Christian faith and practice.
INTERESTING FACT:
The river behind our church was the place in the late 18 and 19th centuries where Shepherds from New Hampshire, New York and Vermont came to "SOAK THE SHEEP!" There was something in the water that made the wool very white and therefore, more valuable.
We are near one of the few Wineries in VT! So there are vineyards near us! Come and worship with us, and "SOAK" in the Lord.
We love visitors!
